A Sydney Environment Institute Initiative.
This group will meet monthly to discuss a single pre-circulated draft chapter or article by one of the group’s members. The group is open to all University of Sydney staff and students, and will have a particular focus on providing a constructive environment for students (PhD, Masters, Honours) and Early Career Researchers to share their work. Authors will be given an opportunity to introduce and contextualise their work, but meetings will centre on in-depth discussion of the text by the group as a whole. This group aims to foster interdisciplinary conversations and enrich the growing community of environmental humanities scholars across the University.
2018 meetings will be held from 11am -12pm on the second Friday of each month in the SOPHI Common Room (Level 8 Brennan MacCallum Building, Room 822). Readings will be circulated two weeks prior to meetings.
