A Night at the Museum: Expert curator brings climate change to Macleay
Sydney Environment Institute’s Visiting Fellow :
Jenny Newell, curator, Pacific ethnography, American Museum of Natural History
How can museums better engage audiences in issues of environmental change? The question is inspiring a growing range of institutions to think more creatively and critically about audience perception and response. The American Museum of Natural History is working on the issue with both general audiences and specific stakeholder communities, approaching climate change in multi-faceted ways. Jenny Newell will discuss these approaches, and outline some ideas for future programming.
