SEI is pleased to announce that we are establishing a postgraduate network. If you’re a University of Sydney postgraduate student conducting research on environmental topics, then this network is for you.

We would like the network to be student led. It might include social activities, scholarly events, mentoring opportunities and more.

We’re calling for expressions of interest from current postgraduate students who would like to individually, or collectively, coordinate the activities of the network for its first year. If you’re interested in being involved and have the ideas and energy to help shape a dynamic, inclusive, network for postgraduate students, then please consider submitting an EOI (details below).

If you’re interested in possibly being part of the network but would rather not take on a coordinating role, then please email sei.info@sydney.edu.au with ‘SEI Postgraduate Network’ in the subject line, to be added to the mailing list to learn more as the network develops.

If you have any questions about this network, please contact Thom van Dooren (SEI Deputy Director, Member Engagement): thom.van.dooren@sydney.edu.au.

EOIs for the network coordinator role should be emailed to sei.info@sydney.edu.au with ‘EOI Network Coordinator SEI Postgraduate Network’ in the subject line by Friday 20 May 2022.

EOIs should be no more than one A4 page and include the following details:

  • Name of the proposed coordinator(s)
  • Contact email address
  • Faculty or Faculties where you’re enrolled
  • Degrees enrolled in
  • Likely year of completion of your current degree
  • A 300-word vision for the SEI Postgraduate Network
