As part of development strategy for the Sydney Environment Institute, we are seeking leadership support from two Deputy Directors in the following strategic fields from 2022:
(i) Education Development
(ii) Member Engagement and Development
The Deputy Directors will be part of the Sydney Environment Institute (SEI) Leadership Team and will also be responsible for developing and leading thematic areas of collaborative research.
The role is designed to create value for the Deputy Directors, their School/Faculty and SEI through the development and execution of respective field-specific strategies and by fostering multidisciplinary collaborations. The role will accelerate the Deputy Director’s career trajectory, amplify their contributions to their School/Faculty and enable the Sydney Environment Institute to achieve its mission to bring together expertise from across disciplines to effectively address key environmental problems.
These appointments are initially for two years and Deputy Directors will continue to be based in their School. Schools will be reimbursed for 0.2 FTE p.a. from their teaching allocation to cover their time commitment to SEI.
- Support and agreement from HoS is required prior to application.
- We are looking for enthusiastic academics at Level D or above.
