Dr. Eugenia Gasparri

Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning

Dr Eugenia Gasparri is a Lecturer in Architectural Technologies at the University of Sydney since 2019, and Chair of the USYD Pride Network. She first joined the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning as Postdoctoral Fellow in 2017 to lead the research stream on ‘high performance modular building envelopes’, part of a collaborative research project in conjunction with Lendlease. She holds a PhD in Building Technology with honours from the Department of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering of Politecnico di Milano (2016). At the same institution, she obtained her master’s degree in building engineering, and was invited to complete the double degree excellence program in parallel with Alta Scuola Politecnica.

Eugenia’s research interest and experience span across a broad spectrum of disciplines in construction, with a focus on envelope design, building prefabrication and mass timber technologies. In particular, she looks at strategies to improve construction productivity and safety, reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainable development in construction.
