The Sydney Environment Institute is supporting the development of the University’s new sustainability strategy that will be applied to all of its campuses. In particular, we identified key researchers, students and staff at the University and made connections across schools and faculties to create a robust and innovative strategy built, in part, upon the expertise of our campus community.
The SEI has participated in writing the strategy document and our Director, David Schlosberg, sits on the Steering Committee of the project. As the strategy nears its approval and implementation phase, we remain a committed partner in the launch and the transition period ahead with the establishment of an Office of Sustainability at the University of Sydney.
A core aspect of the project will support the creation of a Living Lab on campus that will put into practice research from our academics and students. Additionally, a Living Lab will offer the campuses as sites for experimentation and research. We invite those researching or teaching in any areas of sustainability to complete this survey to help us better understand what is already happening on campus.
